Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager, Supply Planning will be accountable for the overall supply plan quality signal within the plant and responsible for measuring the performance of the execution of the supply plan in meeting the demand requirements.
The Sr. Manager, Supply planning will partner with Operations Management, Engineering, Marketing, Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) and Finance site to ensure that the site is providing a high quality integrated supply plan.
This role will manage a team of Supply Planners, Analysts and Project Managers.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure that the supply plan has been financially evaluated in conjunction with finance and that the implications are understood by the leadership team within the plant
Deploy and monitor the performance of the core supply processes within the plant, e.g.: master resource planning, capacity planning, demand and supply execution and safety stocks
Ensure that manufacturing operations leadership is provided with the right insight in regard to planningfuturecapital investment, capacity planning and opportunities for cost improvement
Develop and implement Supply Planning strategies for the effective conversion or supply of Implant and Instrument products
Hold suppliers/manufacturing sites accountable to mutually agreed upon supplier held safety stock levels
Utilize cross-functional influence to improve end-to-end supply chain processes
Facilitate NPD process with internal stakeholders to support on-time product launch within business unit/operation
Develop systems, processes and metrics to drive continuous improvement in the effectiveness of the Supply Chain
Balance financial objectives for Inventory control and Customer objectives for Service Level attainment
Execute process improvements and standard work concepts through cross-functional teams, seeking internal and external customer feedback to develop successful partnerships with our Suppliers
Monitor and report on inventory levels and planned order quantities at both the component and finished good level and generate action plans to ensure that inventory levels are optimized and excess inventory is dispositioned, to support business objectives
Present results to Senior Management in Operations and represent the plant with other Business Unit executives
Manage the development of direct staff to achieve high quality and productivity in concert with Stryker’s goals
Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management and ability to drive improvement initiatives based on a solid business case
Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when representing the company in supply chain decisions
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required, degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Engineering. An MBA is preferred. Supply Chain Management certification (e.g.: APICS) is also preferred.
Candidates should also possess the following:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or similar
A minimum of 2 years in a people management role
Demonstrated track record in driving operational performance via strong leadership and change management skills is required
Manufacturing operations or engineering experience is a plus
Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with ERP systems is required
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to drive results through a global matrix structure is required
Proven ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
Demonstrate knowledge of S&OP and IBP processes and the role of supply planning within the overall process
Demonstrated ability to drive team productivity, while maintaining high levels of employee engagement and morale
Demonstrated ability to identify issues, conduct root cause analysis, and take actions to fix issues; create and track KPIs
