Advertised Summary Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator will provide support in all responsibilities related to pharmaceutical clinical research studies/trials. Participates in patient education, obtaining informed consent, ordering tests and dispensing and ordering study drug. Conducts follow-up evaluations for both inpatients and outpatients. Monitors safety data, ensures compliance with study protocol, and maintains case report forms. Interacts with the Institutional Review Board (IRB); reviews and extracts data from patient charts; assists with preparation of data for statistician and develops ongoing reports for PI, statisticians and sponsor. Performs other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, plus two years of related experience.

Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. Computer skills (Word, Excel). Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Must successfully complete institutional Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and HIPAA certifications.

Special Instructions

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the administration of clinical trials a plus. Phlebotomy certification preferred.
