What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Sales Engineer/System Solution Specialist, you will be responsible for developing highly technical solutions in response to sales and customer requirements across Global Food Retail Industry and sales channels. This role needs work cross-functionally among our technical team and creative team, partners, and operations teams and is required to understand technical solutions from inside out, demo and promote solutions with our regional sales companies. The role also analyses customer requirements, produces customer requirements and technical documentation that aligns with the product roadmap. This position will also require Project management skills and experiences in order to handle System solution pre-sale activities working with multiple groups within Panasonic and partners globally. You will be covering USA/Oceania regions.
Work closely with regional sales and demo, promote technological solutions
Perform analysis of customer requirements to determine the appropriate and most cost-effective recommendations and solutions; Participates in the sales process when specialized solutions are being requested
Assist regional sales team in the development of cost effective technical/business proposals
Work as Project manager between sales, engineering, operation teams to develop solutions that also meet the customer’s objectives
Responsible for formal writing of proposals, customer requirements
Work with other team members to effectively communicate and service client requirements.
Provide regular two-way communication between the client and team to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations
What You’ll Bring:
•Minimum Engineering B.S. degree with 3 years industry experience.
•In lieu of degree, 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Maintain up to date understanding of emerging technologies and trends
• Strong knowledge in software engineering is a MUST, software development/QA experiences is a plus
•Highly experienced in computer networking and proven troubleshooting skills
•Experienced in System Integration and system Architect design
•Significant engineering experience and strong knowledge in the food retail industry
•Highly experienced in sales engineering and technical author experience
•Solid understanding of and ability to sell “the value” around an integrated, managed solution
•Detail oriented individual with proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects concurrently and within projected deadlines
•Ability to offer creative solutions and resourceful problem-solving skills a must
•Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have flexibility of working extended hours as needed, and the ability to work independently
•The ability to work well as part of a regional and virtual teams across multiple geographies/vertical markets
•Well organized, effective written, verbal and presentation skills. Ability to prepare and present clear and concise oral and written opinions, reports and presentations
•Demonstrated ability and skills to engage and influence stakeholders required to deliver projects
•Have the flexibility for domestic and international travels 25%-50%

Panasonic Boston Laboratory (PBL) of Panasonic R&D Company of America, a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, conducts advanced research and development in the area of optical devices and systems and laser processing applications for the consumer and industrial markets.
